CROC (2022–2025) is a short film exploring my personal process of adaptation and language learning as a shape-shifting being navigating life in Belgium. Developed in the framework of SIC (SoundImageCulture) 2022, the project blends documentary, performative, and experimental cinematic approaches to reflect on identity, migration, and transformation. The film functions as both an introspective journey and a broader reflection on the challenges of communication, belonging, and self-reinvention in a foreign cultural context.

In CROC, I appear on screen as myself, guiding the audience through my experiences while blurring the lines between performance, narrative, and lived reality. The project is currently in post-production, with the support of VAF (Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds) and Atelier Graphoui, and was presented as a work in progress at the Rotterdam International Film Festival. Through its experimental form, CROC captures the fluidity of identity, the playful and sometimes disorienting encounter with new languages, and the transformative potential of art in navigating displacement.
